I wrote last time about brainwave audio in the abstract – what the research actually supports, what’s marketing, why I didn’t write it off even though I stayed skeptical of the wealth-related claims specifically.
This is the part where I tell you what I actually did with that, because I said I would, and because leaving it vague after all that setup felt like a cop-out.
In the months after my marriage ended, I was doing a lot of things to try to feel less like I was white-knuckling my way through each day.
Journaling most nights. Walking without my phone, which took longer to get used to than I expected. And, eventually, a specific audio track – Billionaire Brain Wave – that a friend sent me half as a joke, the kind of thing she probably expected me to listen to once and mock in the group chat.
I didn’t mock it. I also didn’t have some overnight transformation, so if that’s what you’re hoping I’ll say, I don’t want to oversell it.
What actually happened was smaller and slower: I started using it as an anchor for the few quiet minutes I was already trying to build into my mornings – the thing I mentioned last post, the ritual mattering as much as the frequency. S
ome mornings it felt like nothing. Some mornings I noticed myself walking into the day steadier than I expected to.
I’m not going to tell you it changed my bank account, because I don’t actually believe any audio track does that on its own, and I said as much last week.
What I’ll say honestly is that it became a small, repeatable piece of the larger shift I was already in the middle of – not the cause of it, but a tool that made the daily practice easier to stick with than journaling alone had been for me.
(Quick honest note: if you’re curious enough to try it yourself, I’ll link it below – I do earn a small commission if you do, which is part of how this blog stays running, and I’d rather just say that plainly than pretend otherwise.)

I don’t think there’s a single thing that “fixed” the year my marriage ended. It was the accumulation of a lot of small, unglamorous choices to keep showing up for myself instead of numbing out. This was one piece of that. I’ll keep writing about the rest as it comes.
The fuller version of all of this, including the things I haven’t written about yet, goes out through the newsletter first.
With Love, Wren
The Morning I Didn’t Reach for My Phone First — The four seconds of silence I used to avoid every morning, and what changed when I finally didn’t.
P.S. Here is the link I promised (affiliate link) for you to give these frequencies a try. Remember to be patient and consistent. It’s not magic, it’s rewiring.
